Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Bitelingual ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Bitelingual is a mobile application designed to help users learn Japanese phrases. The App provides curated phrase content, audio pronunciations, quizzes, and progress tracking features.

User Accounts

To access certain features, you may create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Subscriptions and Payments

Free and Premium Features

Bitelingual offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Some features require an active premium subscription to access.

Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to pay the subscription fees indicated at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies. We do not provide direct refunds for subscription purchases.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Copy, modify, or distribute App content without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Share your account credentials with others

Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, audio, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Bitelingual or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.

User Content

You may create custom playlists, notes, and other content within the App ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a license to store and display it as necessary to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content or your learning outcomes.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitelingual and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bitelingual and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
